Critters and Country! – Art Exhibit featuring Catherine Zimba

C. ZimbaCatherine (Kitty) Zimba spent many years using her talents as a cartographer, illustrator and graphic designer. She will share her talents with a very special exhibit.

From Kitty’s artist statement: “I paint subjects that express themselves through movement and spirit. I love capturing the soul of an animal…a horse with fire in his eyes, a proud wolf, or a buffalo enduring its weathered life….A successful piece, for me, is one that makes the audience feel the subject’s mood.”

Tom’s Artist Statement: I’ve been in the Tree Care Industry for 11 years and Turning Natural Edge Vessels for 6 years.  My passion is connecting people with their “Sentimentally Significant” trees by creating “timeless treasures of art” from their trees.  As an active participant in the American Association of Woodturners and a leader in the Minnesota Woodturners Association, I demonstrate and teach the art of Natural Edge Vessel Turning.  As a Consulting Arborist, I assist homeowners in understanding the needs of their trees and directing them to appropriate care as needed.
