Special Use Permit Hearing

“Hello friends, On April 6th at 6:30 the Borner staff and I will be at a hearing of the Prescott Planning Commission at City Hall for a Special Use Permit to continue the activities of the Borner Farm Project.
The approval or denial of this permit will determine the viability and sustainability of the Borner Farm Project going forward.
I am writing today to ask for your show of support by attending the meeting, as well as ask that you forward this email to anyone who would want the Borner Farm Project to continue.

Eight years ago, when I first talked with Virginia Klecker about using her farm as a community garden, I had a vague idea of hopefully preserving a very beautiful piece of property right in the center of this community. From that simple idea, the Borner Farm Project has grown into something of which I am very proud and that I hope will continue for many years to come. We’ve had interns from 12 states and 1 country, pot lucks, movies on the barn, hootenannies, campfires, classes and pizza nights. And all along the way, we’ve planted and harvested an amazing amount of fresh and local fruits and vegetables for our community to eat.

The Planning Commission approval is an important step forward for the Borner Farm Project. Please join me in your support on April 6th at the meeting and forward this post to those who support us. If you can’t attend, please consider showing your support by writing a brief letter or email to the folks at city hall.
Thank you!! Diane Webster”
