RARE: STORIES OF DIS-EASE TO BE PERFORMED IN PRESCOTT, WI

On Friday, October 14th at 7:30pm, Sod House Theater of Minneapolis will bring their production of RARE: Stories of Dis-ease to the Prescott High School Auditorium. The play is being performed to help bring a greater awareness and deeper understanding of the medical, economic, psychological, and social challenges facing people with rare diseases. Act 2 will be an interactive discussion of medical professionals and people who have been affected by a rare disease, giving a short presentation and answering questions from the audience. Tickets for the play are free, but the number of seats are limited so you must reserve your tickets online at https://www.sodhousetheater.org/rare All reserved tickets will be available at the will call desk.

SUNSET GALA Party for Freedom Park

Prescott painter Tom Blanck and Maiden Rock mixed-media artist B.J. Christofferson are currently displaying their artwork for sale at the Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center!

Artists statements:

Blanck: “My preferred method of painting is to study a landscape or scene from several angles until I understand its qualities. No doubt, this is the architect in me speaking, at least in part. I then determine a view based on how the composition will appear in the painting.” Read more

Christofferson: “My work represents protectors, guardians, saints and their symbols. Many inhabit small shrine-like dwelling places. My intent is to explore the heart – the center of life, strength and understanding. The allegorical images are cut from paper and layered to create 3-dimensional narratives.” Read more

Orange Dragon Art Gallery (ODAG) welcomes the 2018 Season with the opening exhibit showcasing the creations of Prescott students from grades 6-12. You’re invited to the opening reception on Friday, April 6 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Bold North Art Experience – ODAG

“From Heaven to Earth” Artists Reception

How did artists interpret the theme “From Heaven to Earth?”

Find out during the Meet and Greet Artist Reception tonight, Friday, Sep 8 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The reception kicks off Prescott Daze weekend.

Featured artists are Sandy Sanders, Lifeworks Traveling Art Show, and Student art.
