HPAAC Gala Update

Please join members of the community in promoting the arts in Hastings and Prescott by attending the 6th Annual Gala on Friday, November 3, 2017, 6 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Hall, 2035 W. 15th Street, Hastings, MN, which is being sponsored by Hastings Prescott Area Arts Council.

Funds raised support Summer Arts Programs for Kids, scholarships and student fees for children and adults who otherwise would not be able to participate in arts programs. In 2017 HPAAC dedicated over $20,000 to these programs, thus providing funding so that 300 kids could be involved in summer programs.  Funding was also provided to students studying piano, violin, guitar, and participants in the award- winning Hastings High School Show Choir. It is the hope of HPAAC that the number of people served in 2018 will be doubled through the raising funds at the 2017 Gala.

The Gala honors the 2017 Art Heroes, who through their tireless efforts have promoted the arts in their respective communities – Debbie and Allen Saunders of Hastings and Judy Johnson of Prescott.

A gourmet meal will be served by the well-known Lake Elmo Inn.  Background music will be provided by two jazz ensembles.

disney world passIt will be an enchanting evening with Libby & David Wasylik as program hosts. There will be a live and silent auction of over 120 treasures. As the 2016 HPAAC Arts Hero, Heidi is being honored for her long participation in fostering the arts in our community. Read More
