We will be Livestreaming the prerecorded Happy Hour program that evening at 5:30 PM, and the LIVE Virtual Gala Program from 6PM – 7PM over our HPAAC YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuX5yVuui_4

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Anytime – Register for free to participate in the Online Gala. The gala will begin with a prerecorded segment about HPAAC from 5:30 – 6:00 p.m., with  the LIVE program streamed from the Hastings Art Center from 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Be sure to tune in with your friends and family at the YouTube link at https://youtu.be/DuX5yVuui_4 and find out more about what HPAAC does to support the Arts and Culture in our communities.

And don’t forget to bid or donate on the HPAAC Silent Auction. The auction ends tonight at 8:00 PM. The auction has many great items from Art, Vacations, Food and Drink, Entertainment, Gifts, and more! You can view the items online at https://hpaac2021.givesmart.com/ or text HPAAC2021 to 76278.

HPAAC is an all-volunteer organization created in 2008 to promote the growth in the Arts and Culture in the Hastings and Prescott area. Your support allows us to help the many artists, musicians, writers, actors, filmmakers, and others in our community who do so much to enrich our lives. We learned during COVID just how important the Arts are to all of us. We’ve seen many examples of how everyday folks and professional artists alike need to express themselves to others to combat loneliness and depression. Art nurtures the spirit and calms the mind.

We are proud to support many arts related causes in the Hastings -Prescott area. Some examples include art and music Scholarships for students, Tuesday Coffee Concerts, Black Dirt Theatre, Sod House Theatre, Lumin Theatre Lab, Summer SPARK Program, Orange Dragon Art Gallery, Railway Art Gallery, River Valley Band, Building Remembrance for Reconciliation, The Longer Table, Seussical the Musical, Third Coast Percussion Residency, Dallas Brass Band Residency, Maria Bournaki Residency, the Hmong “Seeds for Change” Art Exhibit, and Annual Local Arts Heroes recognitions.

Your contributions make all of these possible!

Funds raised support Summer Arts Programs for Kids, scholarships and student fees for children and adults who otherwise would not be able to participate in arts programs. In 2017 HPAAC dedicated over $20,000 to these programs, thus providing funding so that 300 kids could be involved in summer programs.  Funding was also provided to students studying piano, violin, guitar, and participants in the award- winning Hastings High School Show Choir. It is the hope of HPAAC that the number of people served in 2018 will be doubled through the raising funds at the 2017 Gala.

The Gala honors the 2017 Art Heroes, who through their tireless efforts have promoted the arts in their respective communities – Debbie and Allen Saunders of Hastings and Judy Johnson of Prescott.

A gourmet meal will be served by the well-known Lake Elmo Inn.  Background music will be provided by two jazz ensembles.

disney world passIt will be an enchanting evening with Libby & David Wasylik as program hosts. There will be a live and silent auction of over 120 treasures. Just a few of the auction items include: several baskets representing countries of the world, a catered Thanksgiving Day dinner, painting and paint for two rooms of a house, the highly acclaimed Caramels, a mystery bus tour for 30, gourmet dinners, tickets for athletic & theater events and so much more.
