HPAC Fundraising Gala

You are invited!

The 10th Annual Hastings Prescott Arts Council (HPAC) “Friends Along the River” Fundraising Gala is scheduled for 5:30PM – 8:00PM on Sunday December 4th, 2022, at the Hastings Arts Center.

A light meal and refreshments will be provided to attendees. Tickets are limited to about 100, but online viewing and participation is free and open for everyone. There will be a 1/2-hour entertainment program beginning at 5:30 PM and a 1-hour livestreamed program at 6 PM with live music and up to date information on the arts in our community.

We also have a silent auction with over 100 wonderful items, including various artworks, catered ethnic meals, healthcare products, gift baskets, sports tickets, games, books, date night packages and many other fun items. The auction closes promptly at 8 PM. There is something for everyone!

We want to keep our community safe, so we will be coming to you virtually on Sunday, September 26th. Happy Hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by the main event at 6 p.m.

With your support, HPAAC will continue to foster the arts in our communities. HPAAC sponsors scholarships for students to participate in art and music lessons, supports community organizations like the River Valley Band, Tuesday Coffee Concerts at the Hastings Arts Center, and plenty more. Be part of the LIVE auction with Auctioneer Erich Gabriel!

Erich Gabriel was raised on an Eastern Montana Ranch and then helped in the family construction business, where he learned his attention-to-detail as a part of a quality work ethic. Erich graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in 2013 and has been deeply involved in the auction profession since.

In addition to using his talents to raise financial resources for non-profit organizations at benefit events across Minnesota, often the topic of auctioneering is front and center at home as well; Erich’s wife, Katie, and her entire family are professional auctioneers.

Erich has enjoyed serving as a volunteer and elder at his church, and recent volunteer opportunities have been with Global Volunteers in India teaching at schools and orphanages and helping to maintain trails and weed control with the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Foundation.

Erich has been able to use and share his auctioneering skills for many benefit auctions in the Twin Cities area with Fladeboe Auctions. He enjoys working closely with non-profits, foundations and organizations in need of results fundraising.

The Sixth Annual Gala, sponsored by HPAAC, will feature delicious food, music, a live and silent auction, and the opportunity to meet with local artists and help support the Arts!

HPAAC Fundraising Gala Games

The Fifth Annual Gala, sponsored by HPAAC, will feature delicious food, music, a live and silent auction, and an opportunity to bid on art works created En Plein Air in the Hastings and Prescott areas.

Here is a quick listing of the games:

Heads or Tails: On Gala night one lucky player will win a cash jackpot in the game of Heads or Tails. The “Heads or Tails” game is a 50/50 raffle with a potential grand prize of $599.99. The more strands of beads purchased the larger the prize and the more strands you purchase the better the odds you will be our winner!

Bead sellers will be strolling the Gala hall from 6 until the start of the live auction and beads are $10 a strand or three (3) for $25. Each player may purchase a maximum of three (3) strands. This simple and fun game has participants standing and placing their hands on either their head or their “tail.” A coin is flipped and, if it lands on head, all the tails need to give up a strand of beads or sit down when they have used their final chance. The last player standing is the winner.

Fishing for Gifts: here is your opportunity to show your fishing skills and win a mystery gift card valued from $10 to $50. Purchase a chance and win big (maybe even a therapeutic massage). There are great offerings at this year’s Fishing game of chance.

“Strike a Pose”: Everyone loves a photo booth and this year’s Gala will have one too! Gather your friends or just yourself! Choose a prop and strike a pose.

We are pleased to announce Katie Imholte of Fladeboe Auctions as this year’s auctioneer.

Katie Imholte has been influenced by the auction business for over 25 years, as she grew up working for her family’s auction company. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and is a CPA and Business Development Director for a staffing firm in Minneapolis. Katie advanced her auction career by attending the World Wide College of Auctioneering and holds her Benefit Auctioneer Specialist designation. She is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Minnesota State Auctioneers Association.

Katie is deeply involved in the Greater Minneapolis community, as well as globally focused on business and humanitarian causes including local board involvement and volunteer service trips to India, Guatemala and Haiti. To recognize her efforts to give back, Katie was awarded the MNCPA’s 2010-2011 Public Service Award. She brings a mix of business acumen, passion and charm to her work. Read More

Meet Miss Minnesota 2015 – HPAAC Fundraising Gala

A dozen costumed singers, two Shakespearian actors slinging insults and Miss Minnesota 2015 highlight the entertainment line-up of the Hastings Prescott Area Arts Council’s (HPAAC) fourth annual fundraising Gala, held 6-9:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Grand Hall, 2035 15th St. W., Hastings.

Miss Minnesota 2015 Rachel Latuff will give a brief presentation and pose for photos with guests. Latuff, a native of Hastings and a 2009 Hastings High School graduate, earned the title in June and has since been making appearances across the state to promote her platform “Teaching the Heart: Building the Social and Emotional Wellness of Youth and Their Teachers.” She has a bachelor’s degree in art education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Proceeds will support HPAAC activities, such as the Black Dirt Theater, a monthly writers workshop, music programs in the schools and free weekly art lessons for adults.
