Last year’s fundraiser was very fun and the birdhouses that are coming in this year have raised the bar to a new height! They are amazing.
When you attend the Birdhouse Auction, you support the regional arts marketing work of ArtReach St. Croix which includes StCroixSplash.org, Take Me to the River and other projects. Plus, you get to come to a very lively auction to see the artists’ creations.”

peeps“It’s time to start hatching plans for our annual rite of spring, the Pioneer Press Marshmallow Peeps Diorama and Video Contest.

Now in its 12th year, the contest invites readers to create a diorama with virtually any theme — current events, pop culture, historical incidents, arts and entertainment — as long as it features Marshmallow Peeps.

Here’s what you need to do:

  • Make a diorama of any size featuring Marshmallow Peeps.
  • Upload a photo of the diorama here.
  • Include the name and contact information of the creator or creators, plus any comments, anecdotes, artist’s statement, description of materials used or statistics of Peeps consumed that you wish to share.
  • Enter by 5 p.m. March 25.”
