Presentation at LeDuc Historic Estate

The City of Hastings is committed to preserving its historic resources, including homes,  churches, commercial buildings, landscapes, bridges, archeological and geological sites.

According to the website, hastingsmn.gov “there are approximately 170 locally designated properties in the City of Hastings. Some of the properties are in historic districts and 63 are on the National Register of Historic Places.”

Justin Fortney, City Planner for the City of Hastings works with the citizen volunteers who make up the Heritage Preservation Committee (HPC).  On August 9, Justin will speak to The Friends of LeDuc and Historic Hastings about the function and history of the HPC.

He will also talk about the 36th Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Conference, to be held September 7-9 in Hastings.

The public is invited to attend the presentation at 7 p.m. in the parlor of the LeDuc Historic Estate.
