National Eagle Center – Artist Adam Swanson Exhibit

Join the National Eagle Center for an opening reception in the Watershed Gallery for artist Adam Swanson!

Artist Opening Reception: Thursday, January 11th at 5pm

Art Exhibit: January through April 2018

The Watershed Gallery at the National Eagle Center is pleased to welcome Duluth-based artist Adam Swanson for an exhibition of his acrylic paintings, on view January through April 2018.

Swanson uses his art to explore the implications of human actions on the environment, including its animals, clean water and our dynamic landscape. Visiting Antarctica while working for the National Science Foundation influenced his work. He now paints full time from his log home in northern Minnesota.

“I create colorful, expressive paintings reflecting on human relationships with nature, and how it ties into our humanity”, says Swanson. “There is a deep connection between art and science. The more we learn about our surroundings, where we come from and who we are, the more likely we will thrive in a universe of endless possibilities.”

An opening reception will be held Thursday, January 11th at 5pm at the National Eagle Center. Adam will be available to talk about his work and answer guest questions. This reception is free and open to the public.

The Watershed Gallery at the National Eagle Center showcases the artistic works of regional artists. Admission to the gallery is included with daily admission to the National Eagle Center.

Original works created for the National Eagle Center will be included in the exhibition.

Exhibition pieces will be available for sale.
