“Every Monday morning a diverse group of friends gather to create works of art in a variety of media. They encourage each other, offer advice about technique, color, arrangement and more.”

Art and Friends invite you to see the lovely art they created from August 2 through September 6.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these art works support the programs of the GRRVLC.

HPAAC Announces Fourth Annual Gala

The Hastings Prescott Area Arts Council (HPAAC) is hosting its fourth annual fundraising gala from 6-9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Grand Hall at 2035 15th St. W in Hastings. The event will feature dinner, music, games, art displays, a live and silent auction, and the opportunity to meet with local artists and purchase their work.

The theme, “Unmasking HPAAC, highlights the renaissance of the emerging arts community in Hastings. Now in its 8th year, the mission of HPAAC is to foster the arts in the community. To accomplish this mission, HPAAC funds activities such as the Black Dirt Theater, a monthly writers workshop, music programs in the schools and free weekly art lessons for adults. HPAAC has also been instrumental in bringing a new Artspace building to Hastings. When completed, the building will provide 37 affordable live-work spaces for artists as well as community and commercial space in downtown Hastings.

Tickets are $75 and can be purchased beginning in September online and at the following locations:

Orange Dragon Art Gallery, 122 Orange St., Prescott
