Enjoy the Art Exhibit: “Seeds of Change” by Mike Hazard at Hastings Arts Center.
View more photos like “Ariana and the Zinnias.” Each of the 20 families at the HAFA farm grows about 60 different varieties of plants. Over 100 different vegetables, flowers, and herbs are grown at the farm.
Mike Hazard’s 36 photographs, video, and artist book tell the story of a year in the life of the Hmong American Farmers Association (HAFA) farm. Located in Vermillion Township, the farm is attracting national attention as a model for sustainable stewardship.
Mike Hazard documented the lives of Hmong American farmers in the photo show. He also wrote a book called We Come from the Flower.
The visual arts display that includes photographs and video is FREE and open to the public. The exhibit displayed at Hastings Arts Center will run until October 29, 2017.

The River Valley Band is very excited about its next concert on October 24th where it will be sharing the stage in concert with the Hastings High School Wind Ensemble and with its special guest The Sheldon Theatre Brass Band of Red Wing. These bands will perform together under the theme “Connections Concert.”

River Falls artist Dianne Ginsberg was juried into The Phipps Center for the Arts Healing Arts program. Her recent paintings will be exhibited from Aug. 9 to Nov 5, 2017.

The Healing Arts Artist Reception will be on Friday, November 3, 2017, 6 – 8 p.m. at Hudson Hospital & Clinic.
The paintings will be on display on the main floor of the Hudson Hospital & Clinic.
